Nashville’s climate-positive, zero-waste music festival Deep Tropics is proud to announce a new collaboration with FEMME HOUSE, one of the most influential and equity-driven brands in music today.
Founded by LP Giobbi and HERMIXALOT, FEMME HOUSE has earned global recognition for championing gender and racial equity in music by offering education, mentorship, and opportunities for underrepresented voices to break into the industry.
As part of this year’s programming at the festival’s Deep Culture Speakeasy, FEMME HOUSE will lead two powerful on-site activations that spotlight both local Nashville talent and global changemakers. On Saturday, August 16, the day kicks off with “Building Local Community” (2:30–3:30 PM)—a panel hosted by RaeCola and featuring Nashville trailblazers Afrosheen, Girl Friday, and Kiana Nadine, focusing on how these femme and nonbinary artists are building a thriving, inclusive scene from the inside out.
Later that afternoon, FEMME HOUSE partners with NOIR FEVER for “Curating the Black Underground” (4:40–5:20 PM)—a powerful conversation featuring four revolutionary artists Aluna, Ash Lauryn, RaeCola, and hosted by Madame Gandhi. This discussion will explore reclaiming Black roots in dance music, curating from the margins with intention, and building safer, more inclusive spaces for artistic freedom.
Additionally, FEMME HOUSE and Deep Tropics are teaming up to launch a custom reusable water bottle in partnership with REVERB and Nalgene USA’s charitable RockNRefill program. It’s a collaboration that not only helps reduce single-use plastic at the festival, but gives back in multiple ways, with proceeds directly supporting FEMME HOUSE, REVERB, The Nalgene Water Fund and the festival’s water infrastructure. The bottles will be available to purchase at the festival’s highest-traffic water station, as well as at the official merch location. Together, they’re turning up the volume on impact — one refill at a time.
This collaboration between FEMME HOUSE and Deep Tropics further amplifies the festival’s ongoing commitment to sustainability, as well as creating a platform for cultural conversation, community empowerment, and industry-wide change.
