Anuya Gawaskar’s debut single, “Loose Ends,” is finding early traction at radio, pairing a story about friendship and reconnection with a promising first-week response from music programmers.
Released October 2 through N.I. Music Group, “Loose Ends” was written by Anuya and Danny Jacobson. The song draws on the experience of growing apart from close friends and finding a way back to one another, with childhood memories and nostalgia at the heart of its message.
The October 14 radio report placed “Loose Ends” at No. 95 on New Music Weekly’s Hot100 and No. 29 on the Independent Music Network’s Mainstream Top 30. The single also ranked No. 3 among the Most Added titles on New Music Weekly’s AC40 and No. 6 among the Most Added on National Radio Hits’ AC40. Its first-week campaign recorded 10 adds across 10 stations and 88 spins.
For Anuya, music is one part of a broader creative life. She is a singer, songwriter, dancer, and actor who has performed onstage and at competitions. She also plays three instruments, speaks four languages, and holds a black belt in karate. She says she loves sharing her passions and spreading joy through her art and performances.
“Loose Ends” invites listeners to think about the friendships that remain meaningful even when life sends people in different directions. Its early radio response gives the young performer a strong starting point as she introduces her music to new audiences.
