The Pen Fund kicks off their inaugural fundraising effort with a Music City show on Wednesday, July 29 at 3rd and Lindsley (818 3rd Avenue South) that includes some of Nashville’s most-respected tunesmiths. The Songwriters 4 Songwriters event now boasts a line-up that features Buddy Cannon, Clint Daniels, Scotty Emerick, Dave Gibson, Byron Hill, Jamey Johnson, Jeff Prince and Stacy Widelitz. Songstress Melonie Cannon will serve as the evening’s Master of Ceremonies. The Pen Fundwas founded by the family of Country Music Hall of Fame member and award-winning singer/songwriter Hank Cochran who passed away with Pancreatic cancer in 2010.

“Thanks to Jamey, Buddy and Scotty, the word has spread and we’ve added even more incredible writers to the show,” notes Booth Calder Cochran, co-founder of TPF. “Hank would have loved this. It’s shaping up to be an incredible night.” Tickets are $20 online and $25 day of show; the doors open at 6 p.m. and the music starts at 7:30. TPF’s mission is to raise awareness, aid research and bring comfort to songwriters suffering from the disease. It is a project of the Nashville-based non-profit organization, The Nikki Mitchell Foundation.
