ESPN Enlists Diplo to Curate Music for Monday Night Football Spots

Grammy Award winning producer, DJ, artist and Philadelphia Eagles fan, Diplo, will be working with ESPN through the remainder of the NFL season to choose tracks that reflect the intensity and the storylines of select Monday Night Football match ups. The resulting promotional spots are part of ESPN’s ongoing “Ready for Football” campaign.

The initial collaboration, to be released tonight during ESPN’s Monday Night Football presentation, highlights next week’s match up – Seattle Seahawks vs. San Francisco 49ers – and features “Ruckus” by Konata Small.

Diplo chose the track because it captures the emotion of this high-stakes division clash between these bitter NFC West rivals, in which fans can expect that Russell Wilson will look to continue his MVP season and lead the Seahawks to victory against Jimmy Garoppolo and the undefeated 49ers.

“This is the point in the season where it starts to get really exciting – dumb luck has ended and the true contenders are really being revealed. It’s a part of the season that tests not just the teams, but their fans as well – I feel like the energy of Ruckus is a perfect match for where these two teams are right now,” said Diplo. Added Emeka Ofodile, VP of Marketing at ESPN, “Diplo is a force to be reckoned with and we knew he’d bring great energy to our Ready for Football campaign. He also happens to be a big sports fan and we’re looking forward to building something really special around the NFL on ESPN.”

ESPN’s “Ready For Football” is a year-round campaign that highlights ESPN’s unmatched access and analysis to the NFL.
