IRENE MICHAELS: “OUT AND ABOUT IN NASHVILLE”

The indefatigable Irene Michaels made time in her non-stop schedule this past week to engage in a whirlwind visit to the Music City, meeting with music royalty while simultaneously preparing to drop her own highly anticipated newest music releases [SPOILER ALERT: Irene Michaels’ “My Last Love”, “I Am Golden”, and  “I’ve Got my I On You” are all set to drop internationally!].

Hardly just “Livin on a Prayer”, Irene kicked off her Nashville visit “Livin La Vida Loca” at an intimate dinner with Danny Nozel, who manages her dear friend Dolly Parton, as well as the legendary songwriter/producer Desmond Child, whose song and production catalogue also includes major hits for hall-of-fame artists from Cher and Joan Jett to Aerosmith and Michael Bolton, in addition to Ricky Martin’s smash and many of Bon Jovi’s biggest hits.

Irene was just getting started.  Following up her dinner with Danny and Desmond, Irene shared her evening with the Heels, a young country-rock trio recently transplated from north of the border.  The Heels’ own high energy live shows have garnered them their own Nashville following, along with the title of “Queens of Canadian Country Pop”.

On the heels of this grand night, Irene next made her way to the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum to enjoy yet another iconic singer/songwriter, Jackie DeShannon, as Jackie was being saluted during a Poets and Prophets session in the CMA Theater. Irene just last year paid homage to Jackie with her own recently released cover (courtesy of Tribeca Records) of Jackie’s most well-known record, “What the World Needs Now is Love”.  The timing of Irene and Jackie’s meeting couldn’t have been better, coinciding with the release of the teaser trailer for the highly anticipated upcoming feature film release of “Joker: Folie a Deux” starring Gaga and Joaquin Phoenix.  This trailer epically features the iconic song Jackie made famous and Irene covered.  Randy Edelman also joined Irene and Jackie for the evening.  Randy’s own credits as a composer reflect similar accomplishment, with “My Cousin Vinny” and “Last of the Mohicans” highlighting his many credits scoring blockbuster feature films.

Before leaving town, Irene (who is also the Nashville-based Josie-award winner for her record “I Like Rain”) also found time to make a quick stop by her favorite designer boutique accompanied by her toy poodle Rudy.

Now she’s off to ready the release of her newest records, which will also include highly anticipated dance and disco remixes for “My Last Love”.

Keep an “I” out for more on Irene and her newest releases, coming soon!
