Joe Kelly, VP/GM of CDX Nashville, spoke recently at the Nashville Bar Association Committee Meeting for IP and Entertainment Lawyers.
Kelly shared his vast insider knowledge with the group about the radio industry, including airplay reports, station manager and listener behavior, and how artists can leverage monitored radio airplay to maximize concert profits. He also informed the group about TrAction, the revolutionary airplay monitoring system that CDX will be rolling out in the coming weeks.
ABOUT CDX NASHVILLE:
CDX was recently nominated as Finalist for the Innovator of the Year Award for 2015 by the Nashville Technology Council for its revolutionary new airplay monitoring software TrAction. CDX was founded in 1991 by late Country Music Hall of Fame Broadcaster Charlie Douglas and national record promotion veteran Paul Lovelace as a delivery system for labels and artists to supply their upcoming singles to all full-time US country stations, satellite providers, syndicators, and programming consultants. In 1991, CDX clients’ music was distributed via the then new medium of CD. Today, their clients’ singles are digitally distributed via InstaTrack e-blast, integration into their smart phone app, and also included on their regular CD compilation disc. CDX clients include a ‘who’s who’ of Country Music artists, including George Strait, Garth Brooks, Carrie Underwood, Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert and many more over their 25 year history.
