Inpop Records’ Karyn Williams wowed the morning audience yesterday with her appearance on FOX 17’s Tennessee Mornings. She performed her new song, Rest In Hope, which is the first single from her debut album, “Only You.” The tune was co-written by Williams and has a special meaning for her, as she wrote the song about embracing her faith when her dad, Orlando Magic Senior Vice President and founder Pat Williams, was diagnosed with incurable cancer last year. You are the truth that never changes/You are the love that came to save us/I’m yours/Even through all my fear and sorrow/Facing a new unknown tomorrow/I’m sure I’m going to rest in the hope that I’m yours.
With Williams powerhouse vocals, vibrant personality and strong songwriting skills, she is already garnering high praise from the music industry. She was named one of Billboard’s “Best Bets” for 2012 and recently performed at the 2012 NBA All Star Weekend in Orlando.
