Larry Black Named “Ambassador of Good Will’ For State of Tennessee by Senator Haynes

“Larry’s Country Diner,” the wholesome , down-home, nationally-broadcast variety show known for its spontaneity, impromptu dialogue and live-to-tape performances by the best country music artists of yesterday and today, had a surprise guest on set this morning. Larry Black, host and creator of the series, known for telling his famed guests, “once the tape starts rolling, it’s not stopping—you get yourself in trouble, get yourself out,” found the tables turned with an unexpected, on-set visit by Tennessee State Senator Joe M. Haynes. Haynes walked through the diner door, presented Black with a flag and read an official proclamation, naming the beloved host the “Ambassador of Good Will for the State of Tennessee.”

“I never saw this coming,” said an astonished Black. “What an incredible surprise! I’m completely humbled!” he stated as the cameras continued to roll.

In just over three short years, “Larry’s Country Diner” has become a favorite “eatery” of country fans everywhere, pulling a growing audience of 1.4 million viewers monthly as one of the top-rated shows on the RFD-TV network.
