Americana/Country Artist NATASHA JAMES Is Riding High With
Her Stirring New Ode To America, “MY COUNTRY HAS THE BLUES”
Americana/Country artist Natasha James’stirring new “My Country Has The Blues” single is at #7 and rapidly rising on the influential New Music Weekly Country Charts.
James – who headlined the 2011 Mountain View Art & Wine Festival’s KFOX Classic Rock Stage earlier this month – will perform material from her award-winning “Tequila Time” album as well as from her forthcoming CD, “My Country Has The Blues,” (Highway One Records/WHP), whose self-titled, politically and socially-charged title track became the #1 Most Added Single to Radio shortly after its July 1 release.
Music News Nashville profiled James in a Cover Story (“Natasha James – An American Troubadour”) this past June, while “Tequila Time” has been at #1 on the respected Roots Music Report Roots Country Internet Chart for over five months.
Recorded by Ronnie Rivera (Madonna, Lisa Marie Presely) and Stephen Hart (White Stripes, Neville Brothers, John Lee Hooker) at The Site Recording in Marin County and mastered by multiple Grammy winner David Reitzas (Barbara Streisand, Barry Manilow) at Westlake Studios in Los Angeles, “My Country Has The Blues” is a timely anthem for what is happening all around us in our country, a catchy tune with James’ unique Americana blend of country, blues, roots, and rock.
In “My Country Has the Blues,” James once again shows us she has her finger on the pulse of the human condition, with lyrics as insightful as they are timely and universal, and married to an infectious musical track guaranteed to have you singing along, with the words running in your head long after the song has ended.
