Bailey James Bring Suicide Awareness to the Spotlight in Honor of National Suicide Prevention Month

In honor of National Suicide Prevention Month, country artist Bailey James is working hard to bring attention to suicide awareness and prevention. It’s been a busy month thus far as Bailey has been out promoting the release of her latest single The One which highlights this cause close to her heart.  Throughout the rest of September, she is gearing up to take part in several different suicide awareness benefit events.

Bailey will be raising awareness and money for suicide prevention with an exclusive Facebook Live concert withThe 615 Hideaway on Wednesday, September 18th at 4PM CT.  This will be a 40-minute acoustic performance where she will also share her own personal experience of losing a loved one in an effort to open up a conversation about this silent epidemic.  “I’ve known Bailey for quite some time and when I heard her story and what she was wanting to do for this event, I jumped on this opportunity,” says Sammy Passamano III, Founder of The 615 Hideaway.  “We can’t think of a better artist to bring such an emotional topic to the table and connect with these individuals.”

She will also be a part of the upcoming Dickson County Suicide Prevention Awareness Race on Saturday, September 28th. She will be performing the national anthem and wrapping up the event with a performance immediately after the race.  To register and participate, fill out the race registration form.  All funds raised go directly to the Tennessee Suicide Prevention Network.

With an overwhelming emotional response to her current single The One, Bailey is wanting to acknowledge those her fans lost by creating a special lyric video.  She is hoping this will help promote healing, help and give hope to those who need it. If you or someone you know has personally lost someone and would like to be featured in the video, post the photo on social media using the hashtag #theonevideo and tag @baileyjamesgang on Facebook or Instagram, or DM her.  This video will be released the end of the month to wrap up National Suicide Prevention Month.
