Country Legend William Lee Golden Set To Take Break From Tour & Head To Vegas

Legendary country music star William Lee Golden is taking a breather from his busy touring schedule with The Oak Ridge Boys to head to Las Vegas later this month and appear at GlobalShop’s 20th Anniversary event. Held at The Sands Expo and Convention Center, GlobalShop is the world’s largest annual tradeshow and conference dedicated to store design, visual merchandising, and shopper marketing.

 

Golden was invited as a special guest of D&P Custom Lights & Wiring Systems, a world leader in the commercial lighting and fixtures industry that is headquartered in Nashville, to represent Music City at the convention. William Lee Golden’s appearance will be taking place at 2:30pm on Wednesday, February 29th, at the D&P Custom Lights & Wiring Systems Booth No. 5029. Eager fans and visitors are invited to visit the booth and will have their opportunity to take a picture with the “Mountain Man” himself.
As one of the most recognized personalities in country and gospel music, Golden has garnered high accolades as a member of the legendary group The Oak Ridge Boys.  With over 30 million records sold,The Oak Ridge Boys have had more than a dozen #1 hits and over 30 top ten hits.  Their numerous platinum and gold recordings include “Thank God For Kids,”  “American Made,” “Bobbie Sue,” “Ozark Mountain Jubilee,” and the crowd favorite, “Elvira.”  In addition to receiving five Grammy Awards throughout their career, they were inducted into both the Grand Ole Opry and the Gospel Music Hall of Fame.
Golden recently added another accomplishment to his ever-growing list of accolades, critically renowned painter. Inspired by his life on the road, Golden’s simple yet evocative paintings feature rich, sometimes dreamlike images that mirror the likes of Claude Monet and other leading French impressionist artists. His works have been exhibited in museums, including the Tennessee State Museum and The Gilcrease Museum of Art in Tulsa, galleries and private collections across the U.S. His original painting of Bush Garden is amongst the permanent collection of The George H. W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum in College Station, Texas.
