To celebrate the holiday season and his new single, “True Believers,” Darius Rucker partnered with Eventful, the leading digital media company connecting consumers to entertainment and special events to give fans across the country the opportunity to “Demand” their city wins $10,000 worth of toys just in time for the holiday season. All toys will benefit the local Toys for Tots program and be distributed to children in the winning city.
Fans have until noon PT on Dec. 10 to vote for their city via Eventful’s unique social media platform, “Demand it!” Participants can also spread the word virally across Facebook and Twitter and invite their friends to help their city win. The city with the most “Demands” will see Rucker bring a sleigh full of $10,000 worth of donated toys from the Toys for Tots program for children in the local winning area. Eventful will announce the winning city on Dec. 10 at 5 p.m. PT.
Capitol Records Nashville recording artist and newest Grand Ole Opry member, Rucker will release his third country studio album, True Believers, on Jan. 22, 2013. Rucker wrote 10 of the 12 tracks onTrue Believers including the title track and debut single which is currently in the Top 20 and climbing. Rucker’s first two country albums, Learn To Live and Charleston, SC 1966 both topped the Billboard Country album chart and produced five No. 1 singles including “Come Back Song,” “This,” “Alright,” “It Won’t Be Like This For Long” and “Don’t Think I Don’t Think About It.” His current hit single, “True Believers,” is available at all digital retail partners.
