The Darlins are a exciting new country music duo made up of Erinn Bates and Judy Toy. They have a sound that combines country music and bluegrass. Their song “Blackberry Whisky” features the vocal and instrumental talents of both Erinn and Judy. It is presented beautifully with the quality of traditional country music. “Blackberry Whisky” is a song about love and the wild ride that goes along with it. It is a classic story of the connection between whisky and love. The duo uses their skills to make subtle guitar melodies that bring the song to full circle. Their vocals work together in harmony. Each element focused on within the song makes you fall more in love with it.Before The Darlins came together they had their own separate music careers, but then they found each other and came up with a duo that country music hasn’t seen in recent years. They are multi-talented instrumentalists, songwriters, and vocalist that came together to win the national battle of the bands competition in 2013. They are currently nominated for Country Duo of the Year and Music Video of the Year for their single “Crush” for the 2017 Josie Music Awards, taking place in Nashville on September 17th. This duo is gaining momentum in the country music industry and are sure to become household favorites. They are proving that they belong in country music and they are here to stay.
