Nashville Music Guide’s Acoustic Performance Night

NASHVILLE MUSIC GUIDE’S Acoustic Performance Night At Douglas Corner

First Thursday Of Each Month Starting February 2, 2012

NASHVILLE MUSIC GUIDE (NMG) is proud to once again sponsor Acoustic Performance Night in 2012 on the FIRST THURSDAY OF EACH MONTH. The first show in 2012 will be on February 2 from 8 pm till midnight with a no cover charge. The format of the event, hosted by NMG founder Dan Wunsch, is veteran singer-songwriters and “label ready” new faces showcasing their writing, singing and performing talents each in a 30 minute set.

Featured performers on February 2 are Boomer Castleman (Nashville’s virtuoso musician and mega-hit writer), Stephanie Quayle (recent Montana transplant with a suitcase of hit songs), Joe Matthews (Real Kountry songs with CD TRAVELIN MAN hot off the press ), Jamie Saylor (Real Kountry singer-songwriter and a favorite performer on the Nashville country club scene), Calia & Julie Kennedy (Canadian Country twins with those killer sister harmonies), Brenda Best (Queen of the Nashville Country Club Circuit and Winner of the ASCAP Plus Award) and Jon Dakota (signed Colorado singer-songwriter with tunes in the style of Kristofferson).

Why a performance night instead of a standard in-the-round songwriter night? In Wunsch’s own words, “Writers night are great if you want to listen to songs, but they fall short in showcasing the singer-songwriter as a performing artist. Because of single downloads, the new business model for the record industry is to sign ‘performing artists,’ who can build a fan base, tour and sell albums at their gigs. Hopefully this night will turn into an opportunity for the industry to hear a few of these ‘undiscovered‘ artists for the first time.“

NMG continues to be on the forefront of media exposure for up and coming artists through live music events, the monthly print magazine (Nashville MUSIC Guide), the internet site (, the radio show ( and coming soon a records chart and a monthly compilation CD direct to secondary country radio.
