Guy Grogan is a fresh, accomplished and imaginative one-man extravaganza based in Santa Fe, NM. He is an award winning songwriter and his talent for writing melodious jazz and punchy, powerful rock is evident from the start of the first song to the last.
Grogan is no stranger to the industry with 9 self released and self produced albums under his belt and a host of awards, entertaining crowds since high school and college, and proving he has truly paid his dues. The release of “Dynamite Bouquet” to exceptional reviews is highlight for this year with Grogans music. He’s paid his due’s and the world is receiving the magic with open arms.
What a surprise I had when I cranked up “My Own Way Out”, wow, cool rock with a twist. This is a prime example of music set free and totally embracing the infinite. It is uninhibited. The following is just a snippet from one of many great reviews.
“Ultimately, “Dynamite Bouquet” is an exercise in what happens when one artist has complete creative control over the content of an album. While the vocals may be off-putting to some (or may just require a few listens to grow on you), the album itself is quite impressive on its own – all the more with the knowledge that Grogan is responsible for everything you hear.”

Grogan is an award winning songwriter and has broken the mold with his ninth album. This one brings all the previous albums to a complete a circle. His style is natural and authentic. You won’t find any pre-fab false tracks in this music.
“Metafixation” starts out with grooving guitar rifts and a soft lyric then takes you on a wild ride of heart thumping bass and percussion. Kept my head moving.
The ebb and flow of “Dynamite Bouquet” keeps you hooked. It takes you through roller coasters of pop rock and then slows to perfect free falls. It is a culmination of what happens when true talent has no boundaries of content and conviction.
“I would recommend this album to anyone that cares to hear some new great indie rock, and who would like to hear something that is undeniably honest, sincere and emotionally powerful.”
~Ryan Donnelly, SoundScape Magazine~
“River Like A Cry” is evergreen. I love the guitar, the entire song. Vocals seemed a little pitchy at one point, not sure if he meant it to be that way but it works. Grogan’s personality shines in the music, the lyrics and the over all harmonious fix that each song presents.
“Now I’m Me From You” leaves the gate at high speed and never slows down. His vocals remind of Bob Dylan. Harmonies on this song were solid.
~Rick Ecker, New Noise Magazine~ “This is a great example of someone who is creating music that is not to be placed into a small box, but it’s something that needs to be enjoyed and felt by a large group of people.”
His style falls in to various categories such as jazz, pop, and indie rock while placing him in great company such as Damien Rice, Nirvana, and Elliot Smith.
This album was mixed and mastered at Kitchen Sink Studios in Santa Fe, NM by Jono Manson and all instruments are Grogan himself. His style and his sound is all his and unique to who he is as an entertainer.
“Knowing what you sound like is kind of like looking into the mirror…you see yourself, but don’t have a real sense of what you look like to the rest of the world.” ~Guy Grogan~
