UPDATE MARCH 12, 2018:
ORIGINAL POST:
A well-known music industry executive was arrested on domestic assault charges.
NewsChannel 5 was there when Tony Brown, who owns Tony Brown Enterprises, bonded out of jail early Friday morning.
A police affidavit said that Brown’s wife had some disturbing allegations about her husband when officers showed up at their home in Belle Meade on September 11.
She told police she locked herself in a bedroom after an argument, and Brown allegedly kicked in the door, chased her around the home, and choked her.
She said Brown even threw her cell phone in the pool when she called 911, according to the affidavit.
Brown’s bond was set at $5,000, and he paid it in cash that Thursday. He was released around 2 a.m. Friday.
Brown is best known for producing legendary artists like Vince Gill, Reba McEntire, and George Strait. He was president of MCA Nashville in the 1990s. He got his start as a keyboard player for Elvis.
Brown married for the third time earlier this year.
