Whiskey Dawn took home a 2010 SAMMY (Sacramento Area Music Awards) as co-winners of the “Outstanding Country-Americana” award. The five-member group (Troy Ferris, lead vocals; Jeremy Hughes, guitar-vocals; Mike Cook, bass; Johnny Myers, lead guitar; Kevin Maxwell, drums) have been abuzz in the news of late – performing on KCRA-TV Channel 3 as well as features in the Stockton Record and Sacramento Press, among others. In addition to their second consecutive year performing at major music festival Folsom Live, Whiskey Dawn have shared the stage as Direct Support for such renowned artists as Lady Antebellum, Brad Paisley, Randy Travis, Faith Hill, Reckless Kelley and Randy Rogers, to name a few. Area radio stations New Country KNCI 105.1, 101.9 The Wolf and Hank FM 99.3 have also supported the band with steady airplay.
