Folk artist Eric Anders has released an outstanding collection of some of the most beautiful and meaningful songs for 2016. The songs on this album are a collective of songs taken from four of the five previous albums released from 2003 to 2011.

Anders must have set a record by releasing five albums in a very short period of time. He came in to the music industry later in life and boy did he make up for lost time.

Tethered To The Ground” from the self titled album is reminiscent of a sweet southern ballad of soft rock. Tethered to the ground, But I’m reelin’ from it, ‘Cause I know what can’t be found, As I’m headin’ for it”

Big World Abide” is also from Tethered To The Ground and begins with a phantom bass line that is solid with a groovy mix from the percussion. The mellow vocals fill the song with thoughts of what life can be and how big the world is. “God’s got a list and checking it twice”………….

All the way from Alternative rock, to a twangy tinge of country and fresh flavored taste of folk. With such a textured pallet and a mixture of even a slight alternative rock mix, you’ll find something that your sure to love.

Remains In Me” from the same self titled album is a very powerful lyrically eyeopening song. It depicts history, and life. The hard hitting guitar is raw and powerful. The electric guitar is solid and definitely sets the song apart in it’s own right. One of my favorites on this album. Could be more of a country rock tune with warm vocals that tell the truth of moments in our memories.

Vocals on this collection are warm and expressive. His pitch and range are filled with strong conviction and share the story with a memorable distinction.

Remembering On My Own” from the album More Regrets begins with a nice acoustical round of what could almost be a sitar. What sounds like a beat box effect is also very nice. A blend of folk and country with a splash of pop. Lyrics speak of memories of love lost and finding someone to fill the void.

Best of the best of Eric Anders is what we would give this new collection. Without a doubt he has mastered the pop/folk/alt rock/soft country genre.

Never Enough” from the album Not At One. It speaks of a love lost. Emotions that are gone and just can’t be found again. No, youre right Im sure Its hard to hope like before Dont try…anymore It could never be enough.”

Lyrically this collection will give you pretty much everything. The lyrics speak of love, life, loss, and all with the ability to stir a magic within that will make you want to hear more. Why? Because it’s real, it’s life, it’s genuine.

With roaring flood of new albums and new music coming out each day we can sometimes become smothered by the mix match and mush of randomness in the composition and texture. Not with Eric Anders. With this collection you’ll find thought provoking, empowering melodies of truth, real life concerns, and a desire to make the world a better place.

It is modern folk, pleasurable, inspiring and emotionally charged. It’s clear that Anders has a long and prosperous future in the music industry. His style is flexible, in that his music awakens something deep within us. It compels us to take a deeper look at ourselves, our relationships, our lives and maybe even a look at what needs fixing.
