INDIE ARTIST NEWS:

Indie recording artist, Joe Hermes (OTM Productions), one of the hottest new entertainers in the rock country scene, celebrates the release of his new single “Baptized By The South.” Showcasing Hermes’ signature gritty vocals backed by southern rock and lead-footed rock n’ roll instrumentation, the track is available now here via all major digital retail and streaming platforms. (Distribution by Ed Gertler/ Digital Streaming Services.)  Co-written with, and produced by, Dale Oliver (Carrie Underwood, Billy Currington, LOCASH, Sawyer Brown, Blackhawk), the down-to-earth, heavy-hitting, raucous original, “Baptized By The South” is a laudable nod to southern values and revelations. Biblical motifs and evocative lyrics backed by the singer’s patriotic convictions and divine devotion capture blood-stained souls cleansed in holy water characteristic only to where the Spanish Moss grow. Swampy production rivaled by Hermes’ rugged vocals rev the track fueled by swaggering western banjo and dynamic drums that stare down wailing slide guitar throughout. “While this song is not intended to be political in any light, I hope it serves as a ‘wake-up’ to renew our belief that good, hard-working people with a deep love for God, family and country still exist,” introduced the Illinois native, Joe Hermes. “Baptized By The South” is the lead single as the launch of his 2024 waterfall series and the first introduction to his full-length recording product due in Fall 2024. LO-FI ALBUM NEWS:

Kristian Bush, his brother Brandon Bush and their close collaborator Benji Shanks are wading back into the waters of lo-fi chill music with the fourth album in their Cabin Chill project evolution, FaerieCore. The album is available now and showcases Cabin Chill’s lo-fi aesthetic progression. This collection takes relaxation and concentration music outdoors into the rich, fertile world of the Appalachian wilderness. The 10-song album incorporates hypnotic beats, acoustic guitars and ambient nature sounds into the signature Cabin Chill meditative grooves. Listen to FaerieCore here.  Brandon Bush said it was no coincidence that FaerieCore came to life as his wife was binging on the Sarah J. Mass “A Court of Thorns and Roses” (ACOTAR) series – a popular series set in the faerie realm. “What I love about this project is how what began as a fun afternoon in the studio with Kristian and Benji has taken on a life of its own, growing and evolving with each release,” Brandon Bush said. “We keep peeling back layers in this world of passive listening and finding bizarre and captivating sub-genres.” FaerieCore, a subgenre born from the heart of Cottage Core and Goblin Core, embraces earthy and nature themes with a sprinkle of enchanting magic. “If you’re a FaerieCore freak, we’re what you want to be listening to,” Kristian Bush said.
