MUSIC FESTIVAL NEWS: 

The time has come to secure a spot at this year’s hotly-anticipated Pilgrimage Music & Cultural Festival, set for September 28 & 29 at The Park At Harlinsdale, Franklin, TN, with tickets officially on sale now for the 2024 weekend. Available options include 2-day General Admission, 2-day VIP, Single-day GA, Single-day VIP, and parking passes. As a nod to the 10th anniversary, Pilgrimage Music & Cultural Festival is offering payment plans on tickets for just $10 down (plus fees), if purchased before June 7. Pilgrimage Music & Cultural Festival is also offering travel packages to those coming in from out of town. The bundle options include a two-night stay at a nearby hotel, roundtrip transportation, two VIP -or- GA festival tickets, and merchandise. Travel packages are available for purchase here.  The lineup will include Dave Matthews Band, Noah Kahan, Hozier and NEEDTOBREATHE as the announced headliners. The event will also welcome stars like Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, Lukas Nelson, The Brook & The Bluff, Allison Russell and Chance Peña on Saturday (9/28) and COIN, Stephen Sanchez, Better Than Ezra, Myles Smith, The Cadillac Three, and Sierra Hull on Sunday (9/29). 

NUMBER ONE NEWS: 

HARDY’s runaway hit “Truck Bed” tops Billboard’s Country Airplay chart, reaching #1 in the final week of March. Taken from his widely acclaimed 2023 album the mockingbird & THE CROW, the song was written with Ashley Gorley, Ben Johnson and Hunter Phelps and produced by Big Loud’s own Diamond hitmaker Joey Moi. The chart topper marks HARDY’s first solo Country Airplay #1, third as an artist and 14th as a songwriter—plus his Rock radio #1 “Jack” last year. Furthermore, HARDY is set to embark on his QUIT!! The Songwriters’ Round and Silent Auction will take place Monday, May 6 at 7:00 p.m. It is your opportunity to support Life Literacy Education (LLE), a non-profit organization dedicated to providing career development and financial literacy education to those from disadvantaged backgrounds. At LLE, our goal is to provide you with the tools to become what you want to be, not tell you what you should be. This event will feature Willie Carver, former Kentucky Teacher of the Year and an advocate for LGBTQ+ and diversity. OUTLAW ANTHOLOGY NEWS: 

Listen to the Wind, a 10-song anthology of recordings by singer-songwriter and outlaw original Lacy J. Dalton, is now available for streaming. The collection features songs throughout Dalton’s groundbreaking career, including her 1982 hit “16th Avenue” and a brand newtrack, “Bonny Doon.” Stream Listen to the Wind via StarVistaMusic here.   Listen to the Wind also includes “Wild Pony Lullaby” and “Let ‘em Run,” reflecting her devotion to protecting and preserving wild horses and burros. In 1999, Lacy founded the Let ‘em Run Foundation, which raises funds for rescues and advocates for habitat protection and improvements.  The country icon continues to tour year-round and has just been added to the 2025 Country Music Cruise lineup, which sails from January 19-26, 2025, with Dalton, John Michael Montgomery, Deana Carter, The Bellamy Brothers, and many more.  Dalton signed with CBS Records in 1979 as an outlaw country artist. She hit the Top 20 that year with “Crazy Blue Eyes” and amassed a total of 16 Top 20 songs. RE-RELEASE NEWS: 

Legendary folk singer-songwriter Jesse Colin Young announces the first digital re-release single “Fire on the Water,” off his 1982 solo album The Perfect Stranger. “Fire On The Water” features an epic collaboration with Michael McDonald (The Doobie Brothers, Steely Dan). This dynamic collaboration set ablaze the music scene with its soulful melodies and powerful vocals which is now coming to all digital platforms for the first time since the 80’s. “Fire On The Water” is a timeless blend of Young’s signature folk-rock sound and McDonald’s iconic piano. SPOKEN WORD ALBUM NEWS: 

Country, bluegrass, and Americana legend John McEuen will release his latest album, The Newsman – A Man Of Record, on April 12 through Compass Records. In a groundbreaking project for McEuen, the album consists of ten spoken word tracks and one instrumental, each creating a theatrical masterpiece that no listener will forget, featuring John’s distinctive musical style throughout. Starting with the title track, recounting the real-life tale of a newspaper vendor who profoundly impacted the young musician in Los Angeles, and concluding with “Jules’ Theme,” inspired by Jules Verne sharing the story of his recently departed young wife in a French cemetery to a friend, the album leaves no stone unturned. Premiered by Bluegrass Today, the first track available, “Fly Trouble,” is a talking blues number originally from Luke the Drifter, better known as Hank Williams. TAILGATE PARTY NEWS: 

Country superstar Luke Combs will once again hold the “Bootleggers Tailgate Party” as part of his massive Growin’ Up and Gettin’ Old stadium tour this year. Presented by Jack Daniel’s and Jack Daniel’s Country Cocktails and powered by Whiskey Jam, the parties will take place ahead of each of Combs’ Saturday night shows throughout the tour, starting at 3:00pm local time each weekend.  Each event will have food and drink options, pre-show merch stands and live performances, with the first three weekends featuring Ryan Larkins and Graham Barham (April 13 in Milwaukee, WI), Shaylen and Greylan James (April 20 in Orchard Park, NY) and Redferrin and Alex Lambert (April 27 in University Park, PA).
