EP NEWS:

In mere weeks, The Desert City Ramblers have made significant waves on the music scene with the release of their “Hillbilly Rollin’ Stone” single. The six-man band will release their self-titled debut EP on Crane Kick Records on June 5, 2020. “These five songs best represent who we are as a band,” said lead singer and principal songwriter Brian McComas. “Anyone hearing this music will immediately have a sense of where we come from and where we’re going, and we hope there will be a lot of people along for the ride with us.” The songs on The Desert City Ramblers EP are hard to pin a label on. Each one combines a gritty Southern rock edge and blistering musicianship with the kind of compelling storytelling that is the foundation of old school country music. GRAMMY NEWS:

Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter and musician Jason Isbell and his band the 400 Unit’s highly anticipated new album, Reunions (Southeastern Records/Thirty Tigers), was released a week earlier than scheduled and debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Vinyl Albums and Tastemakers charts. (The Tastemaker chart ranks bestselling albums at indie and small-chain retailers.) Produced by Grammy Award-winning producer Dave Cobb and recorded at Nashville’s historic RCA Studio A, Reunions features 10 new songs written by Isbell and is already receiving overwhelming attention. Of the release, Isbell shares, “There are a lot of ghosts on this album. Sometimes the songs are about the ghosts of people who aren’t around anymore, but they’re also about who I used to be, the ghost of myself. I found myself writing songs that I wanted to write fifteen years ago, but in those days, I hadn’t written enough songs to know how to do it yet. In that sense it’s a reunion with the me I was back then.” Listen/purchase Reunions at https://orcd.co/reunions More details at https://www.jasonisbell.com/
