Her blind audition choice may not have been one that most would choose but I’m sure she made Loretta Lynn proud with her rendetion of “You Aint Woman Enough” and it turned chairs as she made it her own.

Taylor Breshears is a powerhouse in a small frame and she commands the stage as she gives her all. She fell in love with Bluegrass music at the early age of nine and seeing her first performance from Nickel Creek at the Ryman only solidified her decision to move forward with her dream of pursing country/bluegrass music.

The judges were attentive and extremely aware of her talent. Her choice of song was unique in that it is old school country. But Taylor took the song to a new place and it landed her on Team Blake.

Taylor expressed to me her love of Kris Kristofferson and how his songwriting could take you to another world. His songs told a story. Even though she’s young she knows how grasp the meaning from those songs and express them in today’s world.

Pharrell loves her “swagger” and the raspy tone of her voice, Adam Levine asked her to break the cycle but it was Blake Shelton who knew exactly where her heart was and that expressed that he was impressed with the unique quality of her voice. In the end it was all the way “Team Blake.”

Taylor loves “old school” things, cloths and music. One of her special interests outside of music is fashion. She love’s the 1960’s and 70’s fashion and even has her very own custom dress by designer Riley Reed.

The audition for the voice came about when Taylors mom encouraged her to move forward. Her first audition went well and she was accepted to move forward to LA., Taylor expressed what an amazing feeling it is to have such a great opportunity.

As the battle rounds get underway Taylor is super excited and has grown close to so many of the other competitors. She expressed that it is hard work and that the coaches do an excellent job with giving healthy criticism. She said that the rehearsals are tough but well worth it.

Nashville is in her heart and she expressed that no matter the outcome of the show she will never leave Nashville, she said you couldn’t drag her away. Her goals are to keep writing and performing and giving it her all.

Stay tuned to NBC and The Voice for the next round as the contestants battle for the win. Congrats to Taylor Breshears and all of Team Blake.
