Nashville Music Guide’s Artists to Watch 2023

A Belmont University graduate from Owasso, Oklahoma with a style that is truly her own, Allie Colleen is no stranger to the music industry. A passion for singing and songwriting since a young age has garnered her a reputation of being a notable songwriter with an iconic-sounding voice.

Her impeccably strong voice with hints of timeless tradition accents her Americana Voice. The room never fails to silence as Allie Colleen begins to sing about the layers of love and heartbreak that have shaped her. Some of her newest songs bring witty lyrics and a connection to the song unlike most today.

Some of her influences over the years include Ashley McBryde, Jo Dee Messina, Jamie O’Neal, Michael Jackson, Cher, James Taylor and Keith Whitley. While some of her current favorites include Randall King, Cody Johnson, Miley Cyrus, and Ariana Grande.

Without music, I would be … jobless
Music is … something you should pay for … In all seriousness.
My music makes me feel … proud as an artist, validated as a listener.
I write songs because … every story is important.
Support music because … it comes from a necessity to create. The artist, the songwriters … they don’t do this because they want to be famous, they don’t wake up at 3 am and get out of bed to chase a melody because they thought they would go viral on TikTok. We do this because we don’t have the luxury to roll over and go back to sleep. We are creators. This is what we do, and what good is a song that goes unheard. Support music because it is made for you.

– Allie Colleen

One of her original songs, Close Enough, gained more than 750k views on YouTube. Her social media following has continued to increase every year. Her passionate drive and innovative vision set her apart from her peers resulting inhere music and videos going viral on the internet – even capturing the attention of well-known radio show host Bobby Bones – proving that her audience is captive and waiting for her next song. In an interview with Allie we had back at the Country Radio Seminar she told us a funny story about when she was growing up she thought that the “Bobby Bones Show” was only a local Tulsa radio show. “Looking back now, I think that it is so funny that I thought he was at my local radio station doing his show,” said Allie.

Persistently working to hone her skills along-side industry professionals and performing at venues both around Nashville and national venues garners Allie Colleen a growing fan base. Her latest single “Feels Like” is available now.
